This role serves as the primary relationship owner for a defined portfolio of institutional clients and prospects, with accountability for client satisfaction, retention, and asset growth. The position is responsible for deepening existing client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services and assets under management, and supporting new business development efforts aligned with Wespath’s OCIO offering.
The role partners closely with Investment Management, Client Service, Analytics, Compliance, and Marketing to deliver a high‑quality, fiduciary‑focused client experience throughout the full client lifecycle—from prospect engagement and onboarding through long‑term relationship management and renewal.
Key Responsibilities- Own and grow a defined book of institutional clients and prospects, serving as the primary relationship manager while actively prospecting, qualifying, and advancing new opportunities through the full OCIO sales cycle.
- Proactively build and manage a robust sales pipeline, originating new nonprofit prospects and guiding them from initial engagement through due diligence, finalist presentations, and closing.
- Lead sales‑oriented client and prospect meetings, including investment committees and boards, effectively articulating Wespath’s OCIO value proposition, competitive differentiation, and mission‑aligned investment approach.
- Drive new asset growth and long‑term retention by deepening relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and positioning Wespath to win mandates in a competitive OCIO landscape.
- Lead and coordinate RFPs, proposals, finalist presentations, and onboarding, partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling, accurate, and differentiated responses that convert prospects into clients.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the OCIO industry, including key competitors, market trends, and buyer decision drivers, and consistently position Wespath’s nonprofit, faith‑based, values‑aligned model to win.
- Partner cross‑functionally with investment, marketing, and operations teams to align sales strategy, messaging, reporting, and service delivery across the entire client lifecycle.
- Serve as a visible ambassador for Wespath, leveraging conferences, nonprofit networks, faith‑based and mission‑driven events to generate leads, expand brand awareness, and support long‑term growth initiatives.
- Mentor and develop IIS analysts and specialists, reinforcing sales discipline, client‑centric thinking, and an understanding of how their work supports prospect conversion and client growth.

Tuition reimbursement and other development opportunities. The compensation range for this position is $163,000-$195,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Five to ten (5–10) years of relevant professional experience in institutional investing, client relationship management, business development, or a comparable senior client‑facing role.
