Building Maintenance Technician - Mobile at CBRE Glenview, IL

Our Mobile Building Maintenance Technician will perform reactive repairs and preventive maintenance across multiple retail locations in the Northbrook area. You will support several buildings for CBRE’s local retail clients, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely.

Job Details: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. No mandatory on‑call. Company vehicle, tools, and training provided.

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials required.
• Support energy‑management initiatives to maintain system efficiency.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
• Communicate clearly with clients, co‑workers, and supervisors.
• Respond to inquiries or complaints in a professional manner.
• Use established procedures to solve straightforward problems, exercising discretion as needed.
• Execute duties with clarity and attention to detail.

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent mix of experience and education).
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads up to 50 lb.
• Follow basic work routines and standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and a curious mindset.
• Basic math skills: calculating percentages, discounts, and markups.

Compensation: $60,000 – $67,250 annually, based on education, training, and experience.
