Shipping and Receiving Associate

Overview

ARO is looking to hire a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Glenview, IL. The position involves shipping functions at the dock, including shipping, receiving, and moving inventory. Some computer experience is needed.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Office setting:
Very nice office setting, good work culture, and free snack samples.

• Perform shipping functions at the dock, including shipping, receiving, and moving inventory.
• Prepare materials for shipping, create and wrap pallets, crates materials, and load materials onto trucks with or without heavy machinery.
• Receive incoming materials, record inventory, and stock materials in their appropriate places.
• Document all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Use scanning devices to track materials.
• Place service calls for designated equipment.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages.
• Assist in opening/closing the site under management supervision.
• Practice the company’s quality standards and perform standard file pulls/refiles.
• Perform internal/external messenger deliveries/pickups and processes for a variety of incoming and outgoing mail/overnight courier services.
• Maintain a clean and organized site.
• Provide assistance and/or solutions to client questions and problems.
• Complete projects assigned by management and/or client.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk or stand for the majority of the workday.
• Completes necessary safety training and follows procedures to ensure workplace safety.
• Experience with forklift operations is a plus and certification is a benefit.
