Warehouse Associate, Material Handler
Job Description
We are in search of a 1st Shift Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. The 1st Shift Pick/Pack Associate is responsible for receiving and putting away inbound products, picking and packing customer orders, and supporting general warehouse operations. This is a Union position. Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and shift differentials.
Warehouse employees who become Certified Forklift Operators after hire are eligible for an additional $1.40 per hour on full shifts when operating a forklift.
- Receive and store inbound shipments from vendors.
- Pick and prepare outbound customer orders.
- Provide general warehouse labor support.
- Visually inspect products for defects and set aside defective items for the rework department.
- Pack items in designated cartons per customer orders.
- Apply identification labels to outbound shipments.
- Report discrepancies to supervisor.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to frequently lift 15–35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Warehouse experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Forklift, reach truck, and other distribution center equipment experience preferred but training is available.
- Physical requirements:

The pay rate for this role is $20.00 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors.
