For more information, please see: https:// The purpose of this position is to lead and perform a variety of custodial duties in and around County public buildings and grounds and assures work is completed within applicable safety standards. Position ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed.

• Serves as lead to assigned crew by organizing and assigning work, setting priorities, and following up to ensure completion of work and compliance of work with standards; provides on-the-job training to new employees and instructs staff on proper work procedures;
• Ensures compliance with departmental policies, procedures and safety regulations; monitors work; coordinates employee timesheets.
• Ensures proper handling and proper disposal of health and safety hazard wastes.
• Keeps knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper applications up-to-date to ensure compliance with County Health Department safety regulations.
• Monitors and documents the need for minor repairs of lights, tables, faucets, drains and other equipment; completes required custodial reports and documentation.
• Conducts special projects and assists with recycling activities as required.
• Provides assistance with coordinating and maintaining custodial supply inventories.
• May change light bulbs; assemble furniture; assist with painting and minor maintenance; may perform dish washing and may be required to travel between job sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
