Job Overview
Custodian I – Night and Weekend Shifts
This posting may be used to fill multiple positions on our Night and Weekend Shifts. If interested in Day shifts, please apply to the corresponding posting. Candidates may apply to both postings.
Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness of campus facilities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and restroom cleaning.
- Empty trash and perform general housekeeping tasks in an office/school environment.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment and appliances as required.
- Adhere to custodial practices, safety procedures, and scheduled shift times.
- Sunday – Thursday; 5:00 pm – 1:30 am (night and weekend shifts).
Starting wage of $20.39/hour with a potential shift differential of 7.5%–20%.

- Six months of custodial or closely related experience.
- Experience includes sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, dusting, and vacuuming within an office/school environment.
- Verification of experience required in the Work Experience section of the application; résumé only will not be accepted.
- Previous relevant experience as a state employee.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
- Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
