This role provides an essential part of Colorado School of Mines success, maintaining the cleanliness of our facilities to ensure a safe, comfortable, functional and aesthetically pleasing campus environment.

Colorado School of Mines is located in Golden, Colorado at the gateway of the Rocky Mountains, 13 miles west of downtown Denver and 21 miles south of Boulder.

Day Shifts, Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm (may be used to fill openings on other shifts on rare occasions).

Starting wage of $20.39/hour

Residency Requirement: This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.

Experience Only:
Six months of experience in custodial work or closely-related work, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, general dusting and vacuuming within an office/school environment. Experience must be substantiated within the Work Experience section of your application.

• Previous custodial experience as a state employee
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and appliances

• Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, students, and staff
• Initiative and accountability; take initiative and work productively with the team to achieve common, collaborative goals
• Organization and prioritization; ability to organize and prioritize work
• Attention to detail; strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
