Position Title: Traveling Custodian and Maintenance Technician
Campus: All
Reports To: Operations Director
Status: Part-time, 12 hours
Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and self‑motivated Part‑Time Traveling Custodial and Maintenance Technician to support multiple locations by ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and well‑maintained. This role requires regular travel between sites and the ability to perform a mix of custodial tasks and light maintenance duties.
This position is connected to the faith and ministry of the church and moves forward the mission and vision of Central Christian Church.
Responsibilities- Travel to assigned sites to perform scheduled custodial and maintenance tasks
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and other common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform general floor care
- Take out trash, recycling, and maintain waste disposal areas
- Perform light maintenance and repair work (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, painting, minor plumbing and electrical fixes)
- Conduct routine inspections and report safety or maintenance issues
- Ensure all tools, supplies, and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1‑2 years custodial and/or general maintenance experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple locations
- Must align with the vision, and values of Central Christian Church and be committed to doing Central no harm.
- Financially support the vision of Central Christian Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.
- Growing in your personal relationship with Christ, while developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the Church.

This position is indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must perform occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects weighing up to fifty pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires approximately 75% standing or walking and 25% sitting.
