Job SummaryMaintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
Responsibilities- Perform general custodial duties including floor care and general cleaning.
- Perform general grounds maintenance including snow removal and lawn and gardening tasks.
- Assist other building personnel with special activity preparation.
- Acquire general knowledge of building mechanical systems.
- Assist Head/Lead Custodian and district maintenance personnel in operation and repair of mechanical systems including preventive maintenance.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal, custodial supervisor or the head/lead custodian.
Operating equipment used in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment, common tools, etc.; and adhering to safety practices.
KnowledgeBasic math (fractions, percent, or ratios), reading and following instructions, understanding multi‑step written and oral instructions, methods of industrial cleaning, and safety practices and procedures.
AbilityScheduling activities, collating data, using job‑related equipment, flexibility to work with others, problem‑solving with data and equipment, adapting to changing work priorities, communicating with diverse groups, meeting deadlines, and working as part of a team.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsFrequent sitting; occasional walking and standing; lifting 60 lbs occasionally; ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl; maintaining effective audio/visual discrimination and perception; mental capacity for effective interaction and communication; exposure to temperature extremes and risk of injury and/or illness.
Terms of EmploymentTwelve (12) Month
EvaluationJob performance will be evaluated by Supervisor.
Hours2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, M-F, 40hrs/week with occasional weekend hours depending on events.
Shift Differential$1.00/ hour shift differential pay for evening shift!
