Maintenance I
Spring Meadow Nursery Inc. is currently seeking candidates to join our growing maintenance team. If you are looking for a fast paced, team focused job, this may be the role for you!
The Maintenance I under close supervision will perform entry-level duties as assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. A qualified candidate will be able to use basic hand tools. Maintenance Manager will direct and develop maintenance personnel staff to adapt to company needs.

Summary:
The Maintenance I under close supervision will perform entry-level duties as assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. A qualified candidate will be able to use basic hand tools. Maintenance Manager will direct and develop maintenance personnel staff to adapt to company needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of employees and equipment.
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain inventory of equipment parts to prevent lost time of production and promote overall equipment effectiveness.
- Keep work areas clean.
- On call every other month.
- Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 50 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Driver's License strongly preferred.
- Experience or interest in repairs of small engines, pumps, and generators
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
- Attention to detail and workplace organization
- Safety awareness and compliance (e.g., proper PPE and protocols)
- Self-motivated with drive to improve processes
- Team-oriented
Performance Requirements:
- Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a "Meets Expectations" in all areas of your performance evaluations (including but not limited to, Self and Management reviews).
Job Type: Full time, hourly, exempt Pay: starting at $19.00 per hour, dependent upon experience. Amount is not inclusive of total compensation package. Benefits:
