Maintenance Mechanic

Position at JBS USA required to pass a Maintenance Aptitude Test with a 70% or above to be considered. Maintenance responsibilities include ensuring all aspects of the maintenance mechanic functions are performed in a safety and acceptable method. Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand. Assists other areas of the plant when major problems occur.

Functional requirements include completing all assigned tasks, scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Includes but is not limited to the assistance of all maintenance areas of the plant, ensuring that all assigned areas of the maintenance department areas are being monitored and documented as required by safety, food safety, company policy, & procedures.

Key qualifications, abilities, and skills include the ability to work weekends, or as needed. Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills. Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments. Must have some related maintenance experience. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100lbs on occasion.

Departments include Fabrication, Slaughter, Material Handling, Rendering, E&E, B&E based off company needs.
