Temporary position (9 months or less). Pay: $18.00 per hour depending on experience. Employment starts February–March through July–August. Up to 40 hours per week for up to nine months. School schedules may be accommodated. Housing is not provided.

Job DescriptionResponsible for all general State Wildlife Area maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including restrooms, vault toilets, picnic areas, trails, etc. Operates and performs routine maintenance on state‑owned vehicles and equipment. Assures quality customer service, facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness. Provides information and assistance to visitors. May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and transporting materials and supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications , Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a current motor vehicle report.
- Must be willing to work outside during hot and inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift 50–100 pounds repeatedly during a single workday.
- Knowledge of power tools and hand tools preferred.
- Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certifications may be required.
- Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.
