Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full‑time highway concrete technicians to travel and perform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Texas area during the night shift. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to driving across the state of Texas, highway concrete repair/maintenance, guardrail, and drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies and procedures.

Highway Concrete Technicians will be based out of the Grand Prairie, TX yard and require the ability to travel at least 75% of the time within the US, mostly within TX but quarterly to CO.

• Concrete forming/repair experience required – Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, and various small hand tools
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc. operator

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Guardrail and sign installation experience
• Bilingual:
  English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

Clean driving record is essential. Must pass criminal background check.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Full‑time;
Must be able to travel 75% of the time with 1‑week notice. Must be able to work rotating day or night shift, including weekends. Day shift is typically 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Night shift is typically 6 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. or once concrete is cured, Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
