Full‑time Regular.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will preserve the good condition and functionality of Rockford’s commercial and residential properties. You are a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will work autonomously and responsibly, observe all health and safety guidelines at all times, and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

• A minimum of 2+ years working in a facility maintenance role or similar.
• Residential and commercial property management experience preferred.
• A minimum of a high school diploma.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Travel limited to downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
• The ability to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Experience in general inspections of properties/buildings and maintaining inspection logs for fire inspection systems, cooling tower treatments, generator inspections, and maintaining logs in compliance with all federal, state and city regulations.
• Grounds clean‑up, such as trash removal, snow removal and dispersing salt on sidewalks.
• Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the facility maintenance field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate and supervise vendors (plumbers, electricians, etc.).
• Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving skills and management of multiple tasks at once.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) 365.

• Web‑based work order and/or Yardi experience.
• Certifications such as HVAC, Building Maintenance Technology, First Aid and CPR.
