General Pay: $18.00/hour

Team Lead Pay: $20.00/hour

Location: University in SE Grand Rapids/Caledonia Area

Position Overview

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Summer Dormitory Cleaning Team. In this seasonal role, you will play a key part in preparing student housing for new occupants by ensuring all spaces are clean, sanitized, and move-in ready during the summer turnover period.

Key Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning of dorm rooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchens and common areas in a fast-paced environment
• Deep cleaning of walls, baseboards, doors, closets, light switch & fixture, including any framework, ledges/shelves
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub floors and extract carpets
• Clean windows, mirrors, and all surfaces
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow all cleaning protocols, deep cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Lead Cleaners lead and support a team of custodians, ensuring consistent adherence to cleaning standards

Qualifications

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods - Lots of walking)
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
• Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
