Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a dedicated role at a private residence in Ada, MI. Typical hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Clean, vacuum, and dust floors, ceilings, furnishings, hallways, fixtures, lavatories, mirrors, and empty trash containers.
• Wash interior windows at reachable levels.
• Scrub floors and polish as required.
• Clean interiors of drawers, cabinets, and cupboards.
• Monitor inventory levels of household cleaning supplies and report needed supplies to the supervisor.
• Perform periodic specific projects related to general residential upkeep, such as scrubbing tile floors, organizing drawers, and removing window screens for thorough cleaning.

• Change bed linens and towels; make beds as necessary.
• Launder and iron household linens and towels, and occasionally personal clothing.
• Report maintenance or repair problems to the Property Manager.
• Greet vendors, answer telephone calls, and accept delivery of packages on occasion.
• Communicate openly with other household staff.

• Previous housekeeping or house‑cleaning experience required; experience within a private home preferred.
• Commitment to working at locations in Ada, Michigan and surrounding area.
• Ability to contribute to a respectful home environment and preserve quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
• Exercising sensitivity to family members' privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Responsible, dedicated, dependable, tidy, organized, reliable, and positive in attitude, with pride in service.
• Employer will provide equipment and cleaning products; the employee will work with supervisor guidance regarding equipment operation and product utilization.

• Work at a physically demanding pace.
• Lift up to 30 pounds to a maximum height of 6 feet.
• Remain standing, climb steps and stairs, stoop, bend, and kneel for lengthy periods.
• Stand on a small step stool to accomplish cleaning tasks.
• Push or pull vacuum cleaners and operate other household maintenance equipment for extended periods.
