Job Summary

This position is for the End of Line Electrical Testers. The role involves testing equipment after assembly, troubleshooting unit issues by reading schematics and using tools such as voltage meters. The position may include supporting all Arctic lines in Grand Rapids and may require off‑shift, weekend work, and overtime. The operator works with engineering, managers, and lead technicians to maintain flow to the lines, working around live low voltage and high voltage—electrical safety knowledge is a must.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Must have good knowledge and experience in basic mechanical maintenance, electronics, wiring schemes, and electrical work and how they work together.
  • Ability to braze.
  • Must have great knowledge in electrical safety.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to read schematics and use a variety of tools such as a voltage meter, hipot tester, and calipers.
  • Basic programming skills are preferred.
  • Good verbal communication and excellent analytical/problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
  • Must have the ability to keep up with high volume in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Follows company safety policies and promotes them to team members and subcontractors.
  • Provides technical support to customers on assigned projects and at customer sites when needed.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives.
  • Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
  • This position requires working mainly in a typical semi‑conditioned shop environment and occasionally in a typical conditioned office environment.
  • The noise level in the shop is usually loud; in the office, it is usually moderate.
  • Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), and fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally work may be outside, in mechanical/equipment rooms, in extreme weather conditions, or in vibration‑prone areas.
  • Must possess basic math skills and understanding of decimals and fractions for measurement.
  • Must be able to read and write English for assembly directions, work orders, and safety instructions.
  • Must complete basic safety orientation.
Compensation and Benefits

Annual Base Salary Range: $24.76 - $29.90 per hour.

Hourly pay. No incentive or sales commission eligibility.
