Job Overview

The Maintenance / Facilities Technician will assist the Maintenance Director and the Housekeeping & Laundry Director in completing day‑to‑day activities involving all environmental services of the facility, equipment and machinery—including HVAC, lighting systems, groundskeeping, and overall facility appearance. The position will assist other maintenance and groundskeeping staff and help plan services with outside vendors and contractors.

• 8‑hour shifts

• Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Assist with routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., including cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, as directed.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of facility equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are in good working order, maintained, used, cleaned, and stored safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility policies.
• Assist with ordering and maintain adequate level of supplies for the housekeeping department in a cost‑effective and efficient manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
• Basic computer skills; experience utilizing electronic work orders a plus.
