Overview
This is a part-time, year-round, non-union position within the Department of Public Works, working roughly 25 hours/week. The Technician position’s primary responsibility is in the City parks and public spaces, but will also perform building and grounds maintenance, snow removal, and occasionally work in the streets and City utilities.
Responsibilities- Support city parks and public spaces maintenance; perform building and grounds maintenance.
- Snow removal and occasional work in the streets and City utilities.
- Energetic and motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work well independently with light supervision.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, grounds keeping, or related trades.
- Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
