Field Service Engineer-Grand Rapids

Our client, a leader in manufacturing technology support, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Service Department supporting a team committed to excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

** Field Service Engineer

** Pay Range:** $83,000 - $110,000

** What's the Job?*
* + Provide customers with maintenance, repair, and installation assistance of CNC machine tools on location or by telephone.

+ Create and update documentation of technical information and develop reports related to service activities.

+ Assist and train Customer's Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.

+ Establish and nurture excellent communication and customer service relationships with clients.

+ Manage challenging customer situations positively, respond promptly to needs, and solicit feedback to improve service quality.

** What's Needed?*
* + High School/GED or Associate Degree in a technical field preferred.

+ 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.

+ Experience working with DMG or MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.

+ Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
