Custodial Specialist

The YMCA is seeking a Custodial Specialist to keep our facility clean, safe, and welcoming for members of all ages. In this mission-driven, community-focused role, you'll perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance of restrooms, locker rooms, program spaces, and common areas. You'll follow safety and chemical-handling procedures, restock supplies, and support room setups for programs and events. Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of YMCA facilities including restrooms, locker rooms, lobbies, and program areas
• Perform routine sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and surface disinfection
• Inspect facilities and promptly address spills, hazards, and maintenance concerns to ensure member safety
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed
• Operate basic custodial equipment and follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures
• Collaborate with staff to support special events, room setups, and quick turnarounds between programs
• Follow YMCA policies, OSHA standards, and chemical handling protocols to maintain a safe environment
• Provide friendly, helpful service to members while modeling YMCA values of respect and inclusiveness
