SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Janitor at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the facility and ensuring work areas are sanitary, safe, and presentable for daily operations. Responsibilities include routine cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom and break room sanitation, waste and recycling removal, and stocking necessary supplies.
The Janitor will also perform minor facility upkeep, assist with organization and 5S efforts, and notify management of repairs or maintenance needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while supporting a clean and efficient manufacturing environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly manufacturing facility.
- Ensure cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, and common-area supplies are stocked and available.
- Support facility organization, 5S, safety, and waste/recycling initiatives.
- Identify and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to management.
MAIN DUTIES
- Clean and maintain the lunchroom, including the locker area, cabinets, counters, microwaves, refrigirator, coffee equipment, floors, windows, and other surfaces.
- Clean inside lockers as needed.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
- Collect and dispose of trash and cardboard; support recycling efforts.
- Dust and clean production/office machines and equipment in accordance with applicable safety procedures.
- Sweep, mop, and wax production floors.
- Assist with basement cleaning, organization, and storage.
- Maintain overhead areas and walls by cleaning, performing minor repairs, and painting as needed.
- Clean desks, tables, white boards and other work surfaces.
- Help establish and maintain the facility 5S system.
- Maintain the outside break area, including trash removal, picnic table cleaning, and pallet organization.
- Assist with safety audits and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) organization and maintenance.
- Assist with coordinating and managing vending company services.
- Monitor and replenish facility-use items such as gloves and assist with basic cleaning/upkeep of common-area TVs or displays, as assigned.
- Perform other cleaning, custodial, and minor facility-maintenance duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work independently and manage routine cleaning responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely use standard janitorial equipment, cleaning products, and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment while following facility safety requirements.
- Dependable attendance and ability to prioritize tasks based on facility needs.
- Willingness to perform minor maintenance, organization, and facility-support tasks as assigned.
SKILL SET
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to identify and communicate maintenance or safety concerns.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety and chemical-handling procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, and management.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, or industrial cleaning experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
