Seasonal Water Treatment Plant Trainee

This temporary and seasonal position will receive training on water plant operations. It does not qualify for health insurance benefits.

Work Hours

This position requires working weekends, swing, night, or day shifts during a 30–45 day training period. Most weekdays are off.

Seasonal Period

The work period is from May to mid‑October, not exceeding 150 days.

Eligibility
  • Minimum age 18 years with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Competent in the use of personal computers.
Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled operations including laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain basic equipment and grounds, clean basins and filters.
  • Monitor plant processes using personal computers.
  • Apply basic knowledge of pumps, motors, machines, math, and science.
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of math and science.
  • Desirable: understanding of pumps, motors, and machines.
  • Computer competency.
