Custodian

The Town of Gray is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our Facilities & Parks team as a full-time Custodian
. This position plays a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming Town buildings and outdoor facilities, helping ensure they reflect pride in our community.

• Perform general cleaning of Town buildings, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of exterior areas around Town facilities
• Complete seasonal floor maintenance and assist with facility upkeep projects
• Follow established custodial and building maintenance practices and procedures
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks and respond to facility needs as they arise
• Assist with additional maintenance or operational tasks as needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• At least two (2) years of custodial or related experience preferred
• Valid Maine driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting, standing, walking, and working in various environments
