Hydro Aide

Pay range : $21.22 per hour Union Rate

The Hydro Aide will assist the plant personnel in performing routine grounds maintenance and general labor tasks. They will be assigned to clean-up, painting, mowing, weed cutting and other duties. The position may be required to operate mowers and other mobile equipment in addition to using a variety of hand tools. This job description is not meant to be all-inclusive, and will include other reasonable work expectations as assigned.

This position is temporary through the summer months usually from mid-May until Labor Day.

• Operate mobile equipment including various types of mowers, and grass trimming equipment, etc..
• General plant clean-up and organization
• Cleaning and painting equipment and buildings
• Use of hand tools
• Spraying chemicals and other aspects of grounds keeping methods
• Operate and repair sprinklers
• Perform individual lifts and manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

• Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Must pass physical test to access all areas of the hydro plants, including climbing ladders, confined and cramped wet slippery quarters and traveling rough terrain
