About this positionThe Hydro Aide will assist the plant personnel in performing routine grounds maintenance and general labor tasks. They will be assigned to clean-up, painting, mowing, weed cutting and other duties. The position may be required to operate mowers and other mobile equipment in addition to using a variety of hand tools. This job description is not meant to be all-inclusive, and will include other reasonable work expectations as assigned.
This position is temporary through the summer months usually from mid-May until Labor Day.
- Operate mobile equipment including various types of mowers, and grass trimming equipment, etc..
- General plant clean-up and organization
- Cleaning and painting equipment and buildings
- Use of hand tools
- Spraying chemicals and other aspects of grounds keeping methods
- Operate and repair sprinklers
- Perform individual lifts and manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

- Ensure all actions are consistent with North Western Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Must pass physical test to access all areas of the hydro plants, including climbing ladders, confined and cramped wet slippery quarters and traveling rough terrain
