Custodian Lead

Location: Great Falls, Montana (Malmstrom Airforce Base)

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Mon – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (This position requires driving)

Compensation: $20.41 per hour

• Back up custodial staff with custodial duties.
• Coach, mentor, resolve employee concerns in a respectful manner.
• Monitor employees to ensure efficient use of time, performance and understanding of work tasks.
• Record daily personnel attendance and track absences, tardiness, etc.
• Document misconduct on Skookum forms.
• Assist manager with customer service to meet demands.
• Assist manager with supply and equipment inventory of locker and storage areas.
• Assist manager with managing schedules, including call-outs, vacation and sick leave requests.
• Ensure orientation and on‑the‑job training completed for new and returning employees.
• Assist manager with evaluating employee performance for probationary and annual reviews.
• Assist manager with various reports, including schedules, training, attendance, evaluations, timekeeping, accident reports.
• Issue, turn over and secure all government and Tessera keys/vehicles/phones; ensure buildings are secured and safety measures are taken when exiting.
• Participate with rehabilitation staff in developing and monitoring individual evaluations, assessments and training programs.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Combination of experience and education considered.

• Ability to lift or move up to 45 pounds.
• Require reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, repetitive motion for several hours.
• Work may require lifting, repetitive motion, reaching, kneeling, walking, standing/sitting for long periods; climbing in and out of vehicles, using stairs.
• Must persevere under pressure for extended periods.

• Valid state driver’s license required; must obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• Requirement of REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport, military ) for access to federal installation.
• Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
