About the Job
As a Senior Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proficiency and success of our associates in delivering exceptional service in the automotive industry. This position demands a versatile individual capable of facilitating both in‑person and virtual training sessions. You will focus on operational and/or leadership courses tailored to associate and manager‑level roles, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their positions.
Travel to various learning hubs is part of the role, and you will deliver engaging training modules that align with our company’s vision to “Be America’s best place to buy and service cars and trucks.”
- Facilitate in‑person training sessions at designated learning hubs, ensuring an interactive and engaging learning environment.
- Conduct virtual training sessions using appropriate platforms, catering to the needs of remote associates.
- Deliver operational courses covering automotive sales and service, including product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Assess associate performance and comprehension during training sessions through quizzes, role‑plays, and simulations.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with training, learning&development, instructional design, and operational leaders to align training initiatives with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with associates, hub staff, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of training activities.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for on‑site training sessions at different hubs.
- Manage logistics for training events, including scheduling, material preparation, and venue coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, or related work experience.
- Proven experience in delivering training sessions.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, engaging diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with virtual training platforms and multimedia tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Workday Learning).
- Willingness to travel periodically up to 50%.
- Experience delivering training within the automotive industry.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e‑learning platforms.
- Ability to adapt training content for diverse learning styles and skill levels.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a training environment.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing training effectiveness and identifying improvement areas.
