Salary: $18.64 per hour, range $16–$29.86 per hour for eligible staff. Paid leave options include sick leave, discretionary leave, vacation and paid holidays as outlined in the Board of Education Policy Manual.

Ability to follow instructions, maintain professional relationships, respond in emergencies, locate utility valves, read fire zone indicators, perform accurate work, make independent decisions, direct others, work independently and with others, perform basic mathematics, and perform all custodial functions.

• Perform work according to printed information on the Facilities Department work‑order system when required.
• Generate work orders.
• Direct the activities of up to four other employees.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Operate cleaning equipment as needed.
• Provide leadership and assist in general cleaning of buildings and grounds.
• Activate alarms and check heating plants.
• Inspect work areas and check for vandalism.
• Clean restrooms, vacuum, sweep, mop, wax, and buff floors.
• Clean chalkboards; shampoo carpets; replace light bulbs; empty waste baskets and pencil sharpeners.
• Remove snow from entrances and designated areas.
• Wash windows, walls, light fixtures and furniture.
• Operate and maintain vacuum cleaners, floor machines, and other mechanical equipment.
• Move or assemble furniture or equipment as required.
• Check and log boilers as needed.
• Assist with evaluation of subordinates.
• Make minor repairs to cleaning equipment and perform emergency building repairs.
• Set up and clean after evening activities in an assigned building.
• Check building use permits and building security; secure building for the night.
• Occasionally supervise students as required by principal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
