What to Expect

The Sr Technician, Equipment Analyst improves reliability by using predictive analysis equipment to pinpoint reliability issues on various equipment. Works with the Reliability team to strive for operational excellence, finds solutions to difficult problems, leads, mentors and trains others within the team. This position will be based out of the office in Greeley, CO region. The position requires completing an online assessment within 7 days of application date or prior to the closing date, with validity for one year.

What

You’ll Do
  • Perform machinery condition assessments using predictive maintenance technologies to achieve higher equipment reliability.
  • Apply deep understanding of 2‑cycle and 4‑cycle engine combustion characteristics to troubleshoot issues and schedule repairs.
  • Collect and analyze crank angle vibration and pressure data on natural gas engines and compressors from brands such as White, Ariel, Caterpillar, Waukesha, and Cooper.
  • Use strong mechanical knowledge of natural gas engines and compressors to identify reliability issues and recommend corrective measures.
  • Operate portable vibration analysis equipment, reciprocating compressor analysis equipment, oil analysis, infrared thermal imaging, and other predictive maintenance tools.
  • Operate multiple software programs for vibration analysis and compressor performance optimization, including OEM and aftermarket horsepower curve software.
  • Utilize portable emissions analyzer to identify compliance issues and recommend corrective action.
  • Perform analysis and testing for asset, regional and corporate engineering personnel.
  • Collect spectrum data on rotating equipment for analysis and recommend corrective measures.
  • Analyze data and produce work orders for repairs in SAP or related software.
  • Frequent travel may be required to assist other Phillips 66 areas, training seminars, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with difficult troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Analyze oil sample results and make repair recommendations.
  • Perform other related duties to meet the organization’s needs.
What You’ll Bring – Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • High‑school diploma and/or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ready to live or relocate within 1 hour of Greeley, CO.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Capacity to walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for up to 30 minutes.
  • Ability to climb stairs and A‑frame ladders up to 20 feet.
  • Work extended hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on call.
  • Work inside or outside in heat, humidity, or inclement weather.
  • Safely work around rotating or moving equipment, loud noises, and use PPE such as flame‑retardant clothing, eye/ear protection, steel‑toed boots, hard hat.
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
  • ISO certification in vibration analysis.
  • 3+ years mechanical experience with reciprocating engines, compressors, turbines, pumps, and motors in oil and gas or related industry.
  • 5+ years experience in gas pipelines.
  • 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Expert knowledge of natural‑gas driven engines and compressors.
  • Intermediate knowledge of gas gathering, processing, pipelines, and technical crafts; strong maintenance experience of pumps, compressors, and gas‑driven equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windrock 6400 vibration analyzer and software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation Range

The base pay range for this role is $100,800 – $123,200 depending on relevant experience and education.
