JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Services & Mausoleum Assistant II Under the direction of the Cemetery & Mausoleum Services Supervisor, performs burials, entombments and inurnment duties and participates in the overall upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery grounds and mausoleum facilities. Assumes duties of Cemetery & Mausoleum Services Supervisor in the person s absence.

  • Participate in upkeep and maintenance of cemetery grounds and mausoleum facilities.
  • Assumes duties of Cemetery & Mausoleum Services Supervisor in the person s absence.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be 21 years of age.
  • Familiar with layout of cemetery and mausoleum. Working knowledge of cemetery and mausoleum operations and equipment.
  • Must possess a valid WI driver s license.
  • Basic understanding of Christian Burial Rites and Traditions.
  • Working knowledge of potential biohazards in dealing with deceased bodies. Working knowledge of all safety issues as prescribed internally or by governing agencies.
  • Basic computer knowledge;
    Proficient mechanical skills;
    Motivational skills;
    Customer service and employee relations skills;
    Cooperative;
    Self-Motivated.
  • Must be able to proficiently operate heavy equipment (i.e., backhoe & skid steer).
  • Active listening skills, to include giving full attention and understanding and asking appropriate questions.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks independently.
  • Ability to understand cemetery and mausoleum maps, interment/entombment orders, lot cards and other documentation necessary when performing services.
  • Must conduct oneself in a tactful and professional manner and respect confidentiality.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Ability to communicate with superiors and colleagues; customer families; vendors and suppliers; funeral home directors; clergy and other parish personnel.
