Candidates must have previous maintenance leadership experience supporting injection molding and/or blow molding operations.

This leadership role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, improving plant uptime, and building a proactive maintenance culture centered on preventive and predictive maintenance rather than reactive repairs. Success in this role will be measured by improvements in equipment reliability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), maintenance planning, equipment uptime, and the development of a high‑performing maintenance organization.

  • Lead all maintenance activities involving production equipment, facility systems, utilities, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop maintenance technicians through training, performance management, and technical leadership.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance activities based on production requirements and technician capabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive and reliability‑centered maintenance programs.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance history to identify recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Manage departmental budgets, repair expenditures, maintenance inventory, outside contractors, and maintenance‑related capital projects.
  • Develop standardized maintenance procedures for production equipment, molds, tooling, and auxiliary systems.
  • Troubleshoot and support complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC‑controlled, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead equipment installations, machinery rebuilds, plant modifications, and new equipment implementation projects.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce downtime, increase equipment reliability, and optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), SMED, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment history, and maintenance metrics through a CMMS.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Ensure maintenance procedures support safe, efficient operation of injection molding and blow molding equipment while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Support internal and external customer and quality audits as required.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports for plant leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
