- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in freezing temps and snowy conditions.
- Comfortable using hand tools, shovels, walk-behind snow blowers, stand on snow blowers and salting equipment.
- Detail-oriented—you don’t leave ice patches or missed spots behind.
- Someone who takes pride in a clean, safe walkway and doesn’t mind the hustle.
- A strong communicator and solid team player.
- Shovel, snow-blow, and de-ice sidewalks, stairs, landings, and entryways.
- Apply salt de-icing agents as directed.
- Follow detailed route maps and schedules.
Respond to snow events promptly, often early mornings or overnight.
EQUIPMENT HANDLING & MAINTENANCE- Handle shovels, snow blowers, backpack blowers, and salt spreaders with care.
- Report any broken equipment or safety issues immediately.
- Keep tools clean, functional, and ready for the next storm.
- Represent the company with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Communicate any client concerns or safety issues to your supervisor.
- Ensure sidewalks are clear to bare pavement (as conditions allow).
- Always wear proper PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Be aware of slippery surfaces, obstacles, and traffic while working.
- Use company systems (mobile app) to report job completion & salt products applied.
- Provide feedback on route difficulties, timing, or improvement areas.
- You love the challenge of winter weather and take pride in hard work.
- You’re dependable, responsive, and thrive under pressure.
- You’re comfortable driving in snow and working overnight hours.
