JOB REQUIREMENTS

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Facilities, the Technician I is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, hallways, and classrooms; responding promptly to clean-up emergencies; and ensuring garbage and recycling containers are emptied regularly.

Other duties include assisting with various tasks such as snow removal, cafeteria preparation, and minor maintenance repairs, while also fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Starting wage is $18.57/hour. This position works Monday through Friday, 7:15 am to 3:45 pm. Start date is as soon as possible.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, hallways, and classrooms throughout the day, ensuring a hygienic and safe space for students and staff.
• Respond to radio calls for clean-up emergencies and secure the building as directed.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Remove snow and salt walkways in winter, and ensure the yard and playground are free of debris during warmer months.
• Move furniture.
• Basic maintenance and painting.
• Exterior maintenance (raking, mowing, site clean up, trim shrubbery, etc.).
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations and procedures, including the handling of chemicals, solvents, blood, body fluids and/or body tissues.

  High School Diploma or GED.

• Certificates, Certifications, or Other Training: CPR Certification (can Be Obtained During Employment).
• Previous Work-Related
  
  Experience:
  
  1-3 years work-related experience in maintaining a clean and organized environment in a school setting.
