Job Responsibilities:

*** Custodial and Facilities Maintenance.  Oversee the custodial and facilities maintenance programs and directly supervise the custodial staff, maintenance technicians, HVAC Technician, student workers, and contracting vendors.  Serve as the department leader for oversight of day-to-day operations, work orders, residential projects, renovations and remodels.  Monitor work orders and ensure completion and maintain service standards.  Maintain a working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, and provide insight for maintenance needs and capital planning.
* Administrative Operations.  This position will be the liaison with the HRE Leadership team for Facilitates Planning and Management.  Work with HRE leadership to help develop future maintenance and capital needs for the Facilities budget for Housing and Residential Education, including IT infrastructure and life safety equipment and systems.  Establish and maintain a liaison with the HRE leadership team, procurement, and the Campus Police Department.
* Capital Planning.  Serve as the project manager, or in conjunction with the Facilities Project Manager, for all capital planning needs, current and future.  Supervise construction or renovation projects within campus housing.  Identify and schedule capital improvement and “cycling” projects (appliances, carpeting, furniture).  Attend and participate in Capital Planning meetings for campus housing and help plan and develop future capital plans.##
