Reports to:
Director of Physical Plant
To assist in the maintenance of all Comcare facilities, grounds and vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide routine maintenance, repair and upkeep of all facilities, grounds and vehicles as requested by Director of Physical Plant.
- Inspect facilities monthly using the "Monthly House Inspection" forms; report maintenance problems to Director of Physical Plant.
- Inspect all vehicles monthly using the "Monthly Van Inspection" forms; report maintenance problems to Director of Physical Plant.
- Respond to emergency repair calls.
- Report any maintenance problems noticed.
- Record all work done and materials used for repair on "Maintenance Request" forms and turn them in to the Director of Physical Plant when the job is completed; store initial forms in appropriate place.
- Purchase necessary maintenance supplies; obtain prior authorization on any purchases of $25.00 or more.
- Turn all invoices/receipts in to the Director of Physical Plant with the appropriate program noted.
- Perform other assignments as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Work experience in a related area desirable.
- Ability to be insured as a vehicle driver by agency's insurance program.
- A valid driver's license.
- Good knowledge of basic English sufficient to read instructions, keep records, and write reports.
- Successful completion of background and reference check.
- Successful completion of a drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of residential electrical wiring, plumbing, and repair of residential appliances.
Ability to perform all maintenance duties which will involve significant physical activities including full range of motion for upper and lower body movements.
Ability to perform repetitive bending and exertion movements daily including exertive holding, stooping, bending, twisting, turning, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and others associated with maintenance tasks.
Mobility sufficient to climb stairs daily and easily enter and exit vans daily.
