Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We're looking for a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in Greenfield, IN.
Job ScheduleDaytime hours; after training, on‑call rotation every 8 weeks.
Job Responsibilities- Perform facility maintenance of laboratory and office areas.
- General maintenance duties: change and replace light bulbs, move furniture for room set‑up and tear‑down, repair carpet, perform light painting and preventive maintenance.
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of laboratory and office equipment.
- Respond to requests from internal customers following established practices, update and track orders through maintenance software.
- Use hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
- Ensure facilities are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and compliant with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Collect and document laboratory waste (halogenated & non-halogenated solvents, infectious waste, and other controlled disposal products).
- Perform other required tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience working independently with minimal supervision and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- At least 1 year of experience using hand tools and performing basic repairs.
- Good computer skills, including ability to manage electronic work order tickets.
- Vocational training or certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience providing internal customer service.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
- Rotating on‑call coverage required.
- Comfortable working in a facility that performs animal research.
