Facilities Maintenance Associate to support the day‑to‑day operations, physical upkeep (including janitorial), operations stand‑up, and safety compliance of our facility in Greenfield, IN.
Key Responsibilities- Execute daily facility maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and drywall/structural repairs.
- Perform and log mandatory safety and utility checks, including monthly electric fire pump operational run tests to ensure strict local fire marshal and NFPA 25 compliance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized physical environment; help organize materials, coordinate waste/recycling management, and assist with spatial layout transitions.
- Coordinate with, escort, and document visits from external commercial mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection contractors.
- Routinely inspect the building envelope, identify safety hazards or operational inefficiencies, and implement process/facility improvements.
- Ensure building facilities are in top shape for our employees and visitors through waste management, inspections, and janitorial services.
- Hands‑on aptitude:
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a passion for multi‑trade hands‑on work and physical problem‑solving. - Detail‑oriented log‑keeper:
High attention to detail with the ability to systematically maintain and organize physical compliance folders for municipal inspectors. - Relevant experience:
Previous experience in light commercial property maintenance, building trades, warehousing, or facilities support is highly preferred. - Time management:
Strong organizational skills to manage unpredictable facility work orders alongside recurring compliance testing schedules. - Physical demands:
Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, move heavy equipment, and work comfortably in mechanical/utility rooms as required.
