Performs a variety of tasks related to custodial and cleaning services during facility use. Also responsible for routine trash removal and facility clean up. Ability to work odd or unusual hours, split shifts, or holidays in preparing for an event. Ability to perform routine custodial and minor maintenance work in the cleaning and care of the facilities.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy.

The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum. It also includes the 167,000-square-foot Special Events Center, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms. Other venues include White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, ACC Hall of Champions, and the 300-seat Odeon Theatre. The Complex annually hosts over 1,100 events and is well known for hosting a range of major events and performances.

• Mix and prepare cleaning products; clean Coliseum interior and exterior; vacuum, sweep, mop, clean and wax floors. Ensure a safe environment for patrons; remove liquids and debris from walkways during events.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms. Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and countertops.
• Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots, walkways, and Coliseum facilities; empty waste receptacles.
• Perform additional staff functions for events.
• All employees will exercise resource stewardship and report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance.
• Follow OSHA and in-house safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience:
  
  1 to 3 years of related working knowledge of building cleaning practices, methods, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive custodial tasks without immediate supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to walk/stand the entire shift, bend, and stoop.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORKING CONDITIONS AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURES:

• Required to successfully complete on-site CPR and blood borne pathogen training.
