Custodian Part Time

Responsibilities

• Exhibits appropriate communication skills.
• Meets necessary health and physical requirements to fulfill the physical demands.
• Maintains all buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
• Assists in maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and fuel on hand.
• Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and waste.
• Follows proper safety procedures to maintain the security of the building and grounds.
• Reports major repair needs promptly.
• Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash and waste.
• Knows and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the job of custodian.
• Participates in required annual safety training.
• Works in conjunction with district maintenance personnel to maintain building needs.
• Demonstrates positive customer service skills.

• Follows Federal and State Laws and adopted policies and procedures in accordance with School Board priorities.
• Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest standards of public education and in support of the District's Vision/Mission Statements.
• Maintains ethical standards, which include professionalism and the protection of confidential student and staff information.
• Other responsibilities and/or duties may be required and assigned.
