Position SummaryThe Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing scheduled work, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires effective communication with facility users and leadership, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to optimize costs and sustainability.
The Technician supports operational excellence by maintaining quality standards, managing third-party providers, and ensuring all activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and prioritize exterior facility service projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Prepare and execute budgets, approve purchases, and verify receipt of materials and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support for procurement and maintenance activities.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, landscaping, and equipment operation.
- Conduct safety inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Lead third-party providers, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain vehicles and powered equipment.
- Collaborate with teams to identify improvements that reduce costs and enhance sustainability.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance and exterior services, including seasonal landscaping and snow removal operations.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, approve purchases, and conduct cost comparisons for materials and equipment.
- Skilled in operating and inspecting heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrated capability to lead third-party providers, conduct quality inspections, and resolve customer concerns.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00
** The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
