The primary role of Facilities Management function is to efficiently manage the operation of Res Med's facilities to minimize operational and life cycle costs. Key deliverables include providing safe, effective, efficient and responsive services to all areas of the business, covering facility, production and IT services. Providing asset and maintenance management of electronic and software based technological systems required to manage and monitor buildings, plant and equipment or provide services to staff, visitors and contractors.

The Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other critical components in Res Med facilities. This role will budget, coordinate, and schedule all facilities related work including building maintenance and modifications, equipment acquisition, installation and maintenance while focusing on responsibly managing all equipment, materials, labor, and other related costs.
This role will collaborate with the broader cross functional team and will promote a “business partner” approach with the Operations team and other stakeholders.
- Primary responsibility for deploying and managing all facilities related activities through Res Med's CMMS (computerized maintenance management system). The Preventative Maintenance Supervisor is expected to be the subject matter expert in the CMMS and will:
- work with facility technicians and coach them in the proper use of system capabilities focusing on work orders and asset management
- ensure work orders are properly prioritized, work completed as planned with time and costs captured
- leverage the CMMS scheduling capabilities to effectively manage all demand maintenance, preventative maintenance and spare parts inventory
- develop relevant reporting based on CMMS data, e.g., technician productivity, equipment uptime, MTBF, MTTR.
- Oversees and directs facilities personnel and contractors engaged in conveyor systems repair & maintenance, and all building services and infrastructure including, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC systems, security, pest control, and janitorial.
- Management of facilities personnel: including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Manage facility expenses, ensuring that spending is reasonable for the value of services received and in line with the budget and forecast.
- Ensures that all facilities meet health & safety requirements and comply with local, state, and federal legislation.
- Partners with the Operations team to plan future capacity by forecasting the facility's needs and requirements based on revenue growth and product mix.
