Building Maintenance, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
- Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (Depends on Experience/Qualifications) FULL-TIME

- Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
- Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.
- Plans maintenance, construction, and renovation projects include installing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC systems; plumbing systems; electric systems; painting; carpentry; sheet metal work; storm damage work; concrete work; etc.
- Directs pest control procedures.
- Reviews requests from other departments and determines methods, costs, etc. for completing projects.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment utilized in completing projects. Orders items as needed and transports items from vendors as needed.
- Receives, reviews, processes, files and/or submits a variety of documents and reports such as purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, vehicle maintenance reports, work orders, safety reports, production reports, injuries report, etc.
- Operates and maintains a motor vehicle and utilizes various types of other equipment and supplies including welding machine, acetylene torches, various types of saws, electrical tools, sheet metal tools, carpentry tools, mechanic's tools, paint spraying tools, landscaping instruments, etc.
- Performs related work as assigned.
High school diploma with vocational/technical school training in building maintenance or the specific trades involved in building maintenance, and six to nine years of experience in construction or some specific building trades, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Must possess a valid SC driver's license.
