Responsibilities

• Keeps working areas in production departments or office areas in clean and orderly condition performing any combination of the following duties:
  Keeps boxes, material, and stock in neat and orderly condition.
• Cleans lint, dust, oil and grease from machines, overhead piping, conveyors and floors using brushes, air hoses, mops, rags, steam cleaners or powered floor cleaning equipment.
• Picks up scrap, clutter, trash and transports to appropriate waste area using powered industrial truck or hand‑trucks.
• May pick up refuse from plant grounds and maintain area by cutting grass, trimming edges of walkways.
• May also seed areas, fertilize grounds, plant shrubs, trim trees.
• Perform assigned work in departments, plant or grounds in accordance with written/verbal instructions.
• Dispose of plant trash, clutter, refuse, etc. in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Report problems that cannot be addressed without guidance to department supervisor, leader or Production Manager.
