Custodial Substitutes

Grosse Pointe Public Schools is searching for 10–15 full- and/or part-time individuals to work during the summer of 2026.

This position is ideal for college students seeking to earn extra money or anyone looking to supplement their income without a major commitment. Opportunities to work during holiday breaks are also available.

• General cleaning of building interior
• Maintaining school grounds (exterior)
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

• Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods commonly used in cleaning operations
• Ability to perform physical labor required for cleaning duties, including relatively long hours while standing
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment
• Ability to work effectively with staff and students
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.

$16.05 per hour. Typical shift is Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–11:30 pm or 7:00 am–3:00 pm. Flexible schedules and part‑time positions available.
