Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Building Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Assisting site Leadership in the execution of all daily operations for the facilities team.
- Monitoring and adjusting the building HVAC and mechanical systems, acknowledging critical building alarms, and taking appropriate corrective actions and responding after hours if repairs are needed.
- Providing expertise in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment.
- Identifying and correcting any safety‑related issues and performing independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
- Operating, maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment as needed.
- Utilizing the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.
- Utilizing strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.
- Performing preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
- Following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required.
- Operating various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
- Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintaining a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment.
- Performing other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.
- Working in a team environment with a one team mentality; being friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.
- Valuing and respecting employee authenticity and demonstrating cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.
- Balancing workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.
- Taking initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shifting priorities as needed.
- Maintaining the ability to focus on customer relations and client partnering.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of technical experience in any skilled trade.
- Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.
- Must be willing to work overtime, various shifts, and weekends.
- This position may require a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
- Technical degree preferred.
- Experience in the operation of building management systems.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Programs.
- Demonstrated technical background of operations in a pharmaceutical or hospital facilities environment.
- OE2, D2, S-1 or S-2 license.
- USP 797 and 897 knowledge.
Pay based on licenses and years of experience. Compensation range: 32.00–36.00.
