Janitor​/Custodian

We’re hiring Custodians to help keep things clean and running smoothly. Never done this kind of work before? That’s totally fine—we’ll train you and make sure you feel confident every step of the way.

• Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm

• Check in with your supervisor and teammates to go over the cleaning plan and duties for the day.
• Gather cleaning supplies—mops, brooms, vacuums, disinfectants and other equipment—and load them if needed.
• Clean assigned areas:
• Sweep, mop and vacuum the floors.
• Empty trash and replace bags.
• Clean restrooms, refill supplies, wipe down tables, chairs, doors, and other surfaces.
• Dust furniture, shelves and vents.
• Wipe windows, mirrors and glass doors.
• Perform a final walkthrough to ensure everything appears clean and neat.
• Return tools and supplies to storage and prepare for tomorrow.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching throughout your shift.
• Repetitive motions such as mopping, sweeping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull cleaning equipment and supplies weighing up to 25‑30 pounds regularly.
• Navigate stairs, ramps or uneven flooring safely while carrying tools or supplies.
• Work is primarily indoors in commercial buildings with varying temperature and lighting conditions.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, solvents; training and protective equipment required.
• Possible exposure to dust, dirt, allergens, other indoor environmental factors.
• May encounter biohazardous materials or bodily fluids with proper safety protocols and PPE.
• Confined or awkward spaces such as under sinks, behind furniture or inside equipment areas may be required.
• Noise from vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and other machinery; hearing protection provided when needed.
