Maintenance Supervisor

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (additional hours as needed)

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support a large pharmaceutical research and manufacturing campus in Groton, Connecticut. This individual will lead a team responsible for the maintenance, reliability, and operation of critical building infrastructure including HVAC systems, central utility plants, chilled water systems, building controls, and mechanical equipment supporting laboratory and research operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven facilities leader with a strong technical background in HVAC, utilities, and mission-critical facility operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, equipment reliability, compliance, and workforce development within a highly regulated environment.

• Lead technicians, operators, and specialists supporting critical facility systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and reliability programs.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of:
• Chillers and chilled water distribution systems
• Cooling towers
• AHUs, RTUs, and laboratory HVAC systems
• Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)
• Boilers, steam systems, and heating equipment
• Water treatment and utility systems
• Pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and VFDs
• Ensure environmental conditions meet operational requirements for laboratory and controlled spaces.
• Coordinate planned outages, emergency response activities, and business continuity efforts.
• Drive CMMS utilization, maintenance planning, and work order execution through Maximo.
• Analyze equipment performance trends and conduct root cause investigations.
• Support alarm management, trend analysis, controls optimization, and building system performance improvements.
• Promote a strong safety culture focused on OSHA compliance, LOTO, confined space entry, fall protection, and safe work practices.
• Coach and develop maintenance personnel through mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Partner with facilities, engineering, and operational stakeholders to improve system reliability and customer satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 6+ years of experience in HVAC systems, chilled water plants, central utilities, or facility maintenance operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory, lead, or management experience.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience with alarm management, system troubleshooting, and controls optimization.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and utility distribution systems.
• Experience utilizing CMMS platforms, preferably Maximo.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Sponsorship is not available.

• Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent trade school training.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, hospital, semiconductor, data center, or other mission-critical environments.
• GMP or regulated manufacturing experience.
• Predictive maintenance experience including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk throughout a large campus environment.
• Ability to climb ladders and access elevated mechanical spaces.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and emergency situations when required.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies.
