Part-time 24 hrs/ weekly
- Mon/ Wed/ Fri

Job Description:

Under direct supervision and direction performs all tasks involved with a complete floor maintenance program, transports supplies and materials and assists in general, quality maintenance services. Assists in the maintenance and repair of the physical plant and grounds, equipment and various building systems. Provides a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.

· Ability to perform and working knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.

· Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.

· Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.

· Ability to read and understand labels and safety instructions and other department policies and procedures in English.

· Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.

· Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.

· Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop, climb, twist, work in tight quarters or in high places and have gross motor coordination, balance and fine hand coordination especially to operate machinery and tools.

· Ability to lift and move heavy items weighing approximately 50-75 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.
