Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualifications/Education Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an associate’s degree in engineering is preferred but may be substituted by progressive equivalent job experience. Minimum experience should be at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the operation of a commercial or institutional facility. Experience should include a well-rounded background and vast knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems, including equipment maintenance and repairs.

• Assists in the maintenance and general procurement of materials and parts, schedules installations and oversees that such repairs are accomplished in a safe and timely manner.
• Assists in the implements preventative maintenance programs for utility systems, equipment and building maintenance.
• Adheres to safety regulations and programs.
• Maintains accurate records with regard to annual inspection of equipment and general preventative maintenance including rotational work assignment.
• Is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of maintenance department.
• Performs other duties as required.
