We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support a highly regulated medical manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, with a strong focus on injection molding machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and preventive maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience and be comfortable independently diagnosing complex equipment failures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot injection molding machines and associated auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot motors, sensors, heaters, thermocouples, relays, contractors, and machine controls.
- Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, regulators, and fittings.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and safely restore machinery to operation.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities and document completed work.
- Support equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair complex manufacturing equipment.
- Strong preventive and corrective maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Mechanical drawings
- Hydraulic diagrams
- Pneumatic diagrams
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and machine controls.
- Experience maintaining plastic injection molding equipment.
- Experience with Engel, Arburg, Milacron, or similar injection molding machines.
- Experience troubleshooting robotics, automation, conveyors, dryers, chillers, temperature controllers, and material handling equipment.
- Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with in medical device, pharmaceutical, or FDA-regulated manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and GMP requirements.
